Responsibilities

General

• Lead projects across a wide range of outputs: branding, social graphics, campaigns, and more.
• Partner with ad strategists, account managers, brand strategists, and the Creative Director to develop bold, compelling concepts.
• Translate ideas into sketches, storyboards, layouts, and fully realized executions.
• Ensure all creative aligns with client marketing initiatives, strategic positioning, and target audiences.
• Guide projects from concept to final delivery: on time, on budget, and on vision.
• Mentor and delegate to designers, providing constructive feedback and direction.
• Confidently present work to both internal teams and clients.
• Stay sharp on design, cultural, and industry trends, applying them to keep RedTag ahead.
• Collaborate with project managers to prioritize, scope, and deliver with speed and precision
• Champion innovation, introducing new tools, systems, and approaches that elevate the team.
• Own the execution and production of world-class creative design deliverables.

Specific

• Build and maintain scalable design systems in Adobe Libraries, Adobe Express and Figma that empower the broader team and our clients.
• Grow expertise in campaign and ad design to strengthen RedTag’s leadership in the Louisville market.
• Offer clear, actionable critique of design work, challenging the team to push past “good” and aim for extraordinary.

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of design experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role.
• A strong portfolio that proves you can craft standout branding, design, and campaign work.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma; bonus if you have motion or 3D experience.
• Proven ability to mentor designers with empathy and clarity.
• A sharp understanding of brand strategy, design systems, and digital-first creative.
• Strong presentation and communication skills: you can sell an idea as well as you can design it.
• Adaptability under pressure: ability to pivot quickly, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
