Content Manager

Louisville, KY | In-Office | Full-Time

The Content Manager is responsible for managing and executing social media content, ensuring brand consistency, and supporting the content creation team with short-form video editing and asset management.  This role focuses on monthly retainer platform-specific content that aligns with RedTag’s digital strategy.  The Content Manager specializes in engagement across social media platforms.  Additionally, this role may be required to film events and activations and communicate and coordinate with creators to ensure content aligns with campaign goals.                                                                                                                                       

Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Video Editing:  Edit and optimize short-form videos (e.g. TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Short) that are filmed on mobile devices or social-first equipment.
  • Content Publishing & Optimization:  Ensure all video content is formatted correctly for various platforms, applying best practices for aspect ratios, captions and engagement.
  • Content Calendar Management:  Work with the Director of Content Creation to maintain a schedule of ongoing video releases and social media content.
  • Filming at Events & Activations:  Capture content at live events, activations, and brand experiences to create engaging short-form videos.
  • Creator Coordination:  Communicate and collaborate with creators, influencers and brand ambassadors to ensure content aligns with campaign objectives.
  • Asset Management:  Organize, tag and manage video and content assets for easy access and repurposing.
  • Basic Graphic & Motion Work:  Use simple graphic templates and light motion graphics to enhance social media content.
  • Trend Research & Implementation:  Stay updated on social media trends, viral content and platform algorithm changes to ensure maximum reach and engagement.
  • Performance Tracking:  Monitor campaign performance across platforms and adjust strategies based on engagement data.
  • Brand Consistency:  Ensure all content maintains a cohesive visual identity and tone in alignment with RedTag’s strategy.
  • Direct reports:  N/A

Collaboration:

  • Reports directly to the Director of Content Creation and supports overall content strategy through quick-turn, social-first content.
  • Works closely with the Producer to outline content strategy and meet delivery deadlines.
  • Focuses on short-form, mobile-friendly content and digital optimization.
  • May be required to film at events and activations and ensure the seamless coordination of creators and influencers within content campaigns.
  • Collaborates with Producer social media strategists, editors and freelance creatives when needed.
