Social Media Manager

The Social Media Manager is responsible for leading RedTag’s organic social media strategy, managing content calendars, and ensuring timely publishing across platforms using tools like Sprout Social. This role champions platform-native, mobile-first content that builds community, drives engagement, and aligns with RedTag’s broader digital and brand objectives. Strong skills in short-form video editing, trend identification, and real-time social publishing are key, alongside thoughtful coordination with creators and internal stakeholders.Key Responsibilities

Content Strategy & Calendar Management

  • Build and maintain monthly content calendars across all major platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest), ensuring consistent cadence and alignment with brand and campaign goals.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to plan, schedule, and adjust posts based on upcoming campaigns, seasonal opportunities, and cultural moments.
  • Use Sprout Social and similar tools to schedule, publish, and monitor content while maintaining performance reports and dashboards.
  • Align all output around overall brand strategy and creative messaging

Organic Social Media Execution

  • Execute platform-specific content strategies focused on reach, engagement, and community-building.
  • Write platform-tailored captions, manage hashtags, and respond to comments or DMs in brand voice.
  • Optimize posting times and formats based on performance analytics and algorithmic changes.

Short-Form Video Editing & Publishing

  • Edit and optimize short-form videos for TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts using mobile and desktop tools.
  • Ensure content is properly formatted with captions, hooks, and platform best practices in mind.
  • Support quick-turn video needs during events or real-time campaigns.

Event Coverage & Creator Coordination

  • Attend activations, brand events, and shoots to capture behind-the-scenes content and in-the-moment stories.
  • Coordinate with creators, influencers, and ambassadors to ensure alignment with campaign tone, messaging, and deadlines.

Trend Monitoring & Insights

  • Stay ahead of platform trends, sound memes, and visual styles to maintain relevance and agility.
  • Track post performance and analyze engagement data to improve future content strategies.

Collaboration

  • Interfaces regularly with media strategists, designers, editors, and freelance contributors.
  • Plays a key role in RedTag’s social-first content team, ensuring alignment across campaigns and platforms.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–4 years of experience managing organic social for a brand or agency.
  • Proven experience with Sprout Social or similar social publishing/analytics tools.
  • Proficiency in short-form video editing (CapCut, Adobe Express, or mobile-native apps).
  • Strong grasp of platform-specific best practices (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube).
  • Excellent writing skills with a keen eye for visual storytelling and audience engagement.
  • Comfortable juggling multiple accounts, priorities, and last-minute pivots.
  • Passion for social media, content trends, and staying one step ahead of the algorithm.
