We wrote a story based on a real-life case of an officer helping a child in crisis who later grows up to become a police officer themselves. Our team handled everything in-house, from scripting and location scouting to directing and editing. We shot on-site in Louisville, combining cinematic visuals with an emotionally driven voiceover to explore legacy and service. LMPD made the complex production possible by providing help with road closures and enlisting real officers to serve as talent for the video.
Impact Far Beyond Louisville
The final spot was distributed across local TV and social media as part of a broader digital recruitment campaign. The LMPD team was moved—literally applauding the final cut—and the video’s resonance extended beyond city limits. The FBI later used it in national trainings as a model campaign for police recruitment. By showing the human stories behind the badge, this campaign helped reframe the conversation around policing in Louisville.
