For their 2019 Special Release, Blanton’s turned to RedTag to craft packaging that would capture the brand’s iconic legacy while captivating a new generation of bourbon enthusiasts. It needed to be worth collecting and worthy of the Blanton's name.

Our process began with a deep dive into Blanton’s history and the evolving landscape of luxury packaged goods. We analyzed market trends, collector behavior, and the expectations of bourbon connoisseurs to uncover what makes a special release feel special. The insight we uncovered was that bourbon lovers want more than quality. They want story, prestige, and experience.

Crafted to Be Coveted

RedTag created a refined label that honored the iconic Blanton’s aesthetic while introducing elevated design elements tailored to a premium collector audience. Subtle typographic enhancements, rich foils, and updated embossing created a sense of timelessness with just the right amount of modern edge. Beyond the visuals, the tactile elements of the design invited a richer experience with the bottle.
