Rewriting the Rules of Digital Music with an Artist-First Platform
Built from the Ground Up, Engineered for Scale
We led across every dimension of the launch, from platform development to user acquisition. RedTag CTO Kevin Stone architected the platform from scratch, building a robust ecommerce engine that could handle massive surges in traffic, support flexible pricing models, and introduce innovations like artist-defined bundling. On top of that platform, we layered a full-scale digital strategy that included email marketing, social campaigns, and content initiatives designed to educate fans and challenge industry norms.

From a Platform to A Statement
At the heart of GhostTunes was a bold idea: that artists deserve a say in how their music is sold. We worked closely with Garth Brooks and his team to make that philosophy tangible, crafting an experience that put creativity before clicks. From intuitive UX and security infrastructure to a customer support system that scaled with growth, every element was engineered to reflect the artist-first ethos. The result? Over one million users in year one, record-breaking digital album sales, and a platform that became the template for a more equitable music model.

A Legacy That Lives On
GhostTunes ultimately caught the eye of Amazon Music, which acquired the platform. Garth Brooks retained creative control while reaching an even larger audience. For RedTag, the project remains a defining example of the fusion between innovation and integrity. We did more than build a platform. We helped Garth Brooks change the conversation.
