UP for Women and Children is a day center in Louisville, KY that offers vital support and connection for women, their children, and marginalized genders experiencing homelessness. For their annual fundraising gala, they needed a video that was more than just a recap. They wanted a story to go beyond the stigma of homelessness, to a message that inspires empathy, hope, and action. The goal was to show the impact of their work in a way that centered the women they serve not as victims, but as resilient individuals building strength through connection.

From a Single Stream to a River of Support

We developed the concept and script in-house, built around the metaphor of a single stream flowing into a river, crafting a lyrical, emotionally resonant narrative that explored the journey from isolation to empowerment. The video follows a woman as she navigates the streets of downtown Louisville, interwoven with beautiful imagery of the city, the Ohio River, and the UP center and a voiceover inspired by interviews with the women served by UP.
